Gipuzkoa will be a guest country at the Cider World 2026 fair in Frankfurt
In previous editions, some Basque sidreros have taken the stand, but it will be the first time they have come as a guest country. The date will be from 16 to 18 April.
Uber will make a 20% discount on travel to Gipuzkoa sidreries
Uber, the Gipuzkoa Hotel and Cider Association have reached an agreement for this txotx season.
The parking reservation system for buses is in operation in Hernani during the txotx season
This new reservation system aims to improve the management of the txotx season. Autobuses will have to pay a fee of 60 euros (between 9 and 34 places) and 100 euros (more than 35 places). However, first will be free on three Saturdays (24 and 31 January and 7 February), but with mandatory booking.
Today begins the cider season in Gipuzkoa
Organized by Sagardun Patzuergoa, the txotx season will begin at noon at the Petritegi sidreria in Astigarraga.
Euskal Sagardoa sidreries have produced 3.1 million litres this year
The 46 sidreries attached to the Euskal Sagardoa Designation of Origin have produced 3.1 million litres of drinks for the new campaign, using 4.4 million kilograms of apples from local fruit trees.
Hernani will charge a fee to the organized buses that will go to the txotx season
Buses must park at the Ibaiondo Industrial Estate and pay a fee of up to EUR 100.
