The Ertzaintza has broken up a criminal group for robbing homes in Oiartzun and Leaburu
The Ertzaintza has arrested three young men accused of attempting to rob homes in Oiartzun and Leaburu (Gipuzkoa), all of whom were staying in San Sebastián, and who used a fluorescent car rented, as reported by the Department of Safety and Security.
The Gipuzkoa Territorial Criminal Investigation Service (SICGLZ) has disbanded this group of "home robberies" . They have explained that the three had expressly come from their native village to commit the robberies and intended to return "low".
The first robbery attempt took place on 27 November, around 12:00, in a single-family home in the Arragua district of Oiartzun. The owner was there, and when he heard the noise he noticed that the robbers were trying to get into his house.
An hour and a half later, in Leaburu, three men in black tried to steal from a farm ; all three were driving in a fluorescent car.
Thus, with the data provided by the plaintiffs and several witnesses, the Ertzaintza found that the car used in the robberies had been rented to an agency in San Sebastián, and when it became known that the suspects were planning to return "immediately" to their country of origin, they were arrested. All three are charged with attempted robbery with force in two homes, damage and membership of a criminal group.
The detainees , aged 20, 23 and 24, are in police custody pending trial.
