Two young people face 12 years' imprisonment for attempting to kill a minor in San Sebastian
The Public Prosecutor's Office charges young people with attempting to kill a schoolmate. It appears that the assailant was "jealous" of having "played love games" with his partner.
The Public Prosecutor's Office in Gipuzkoa is requesting 12 years' imprisonment for two young people accused of attempting to kill a minor in San Sebastián, one of whom was apparently jealous when he learned that the victim, a classmate of his partner, was "playing with him."
The attack, which took place in March, has been described as "detailed revenge."
Two of the minors involved were the principal accused, the alleged perpetrator of the crime of attempted murder, and the alleged perpetrator of the attack.
The Public Prosecutor's Office therefore requests that both be convicted of attempted murder and that they be compensated with €9 240, in addition to the 10 years of exile requested by the accused.
The "love games" of the class.
According to the Public Prosecutor's Office's indictment, 15 days before the attack, the girl told her boyfriend that a classmate was "playing with him."
The couple allegedly wanted revenge and decided to kill their partner, so he planned the attack with two friends, one of them a minor, who used latex gloves, balaclava and a kitchen knife.
On 12 March, the four involved approached the victim's school and, after finishing their classes, attacked the minor by surprise, trying to stab the knife in the neck.
Luckily, the victim managed to protect himself with his arm, avoiding serious injuries, but suffered injuries to the shoulder and waist.
Despite the wounds, the minor was able to escape, avoiding a more serious outcome. The prosecution considers that the defendants acted against the victim with the intention of killing him, and therefore charges them with attempted murder.
