Four people arrested in Ribera Alta after several robberies and traffic accidents
The Ertzaintza has arrested two men and two women and is looking for two other people, who have been charged with forcibly stealing several mobile phones, a cash register and a car.
The Ertzaintza has been able to clarify several robberies with force in Cantabria andarrest four of the six alleged perpetrators thanksto a traffic accident last Friday in Ribera Alta (Álava) .
According to the Department of Safety and Security in a note, the events took place at 07:24 on Friday, on the AP-68 motorway, off the Alavesa town, where a car crashed and two occupants fled leavingthe car halfway.
The agents displaced to the scene found that the car had started violently and that inside the vehicle there were several new mobile phones which they later learned had been stolen from a shop in Cantabria the day before.
Shortly afterwards, the agents intercepted a speeding car passing through Hereña, in which six people were travelling, having previously picked up the two involved in the accident. The Ertzainas intercepted the vehicle and brought down the occupants.
The officers arrested four persons, two men and two women aged 30 to61. The other two managed to escape.
The Ertzaintza has since learned that the two fugitives have suffered another accident and abandoned their car, which they are still looking for.
