Bilbao today closes the deadline for unlabelled vehicles in the Low Emissions Zone
As of 31 December, most environmentally friendly cars A will not be able to access the town centre except for specific exceptions, so what vehicles can continue to be included in the CSR?

This Wednesday, December 31, ends in Bilbaomost ofthe extensions s that allowed access to the Low Emission Zone (CSR) for vehiclesofenvironmental category or without labels.
Consequently, such vehicles may not beincluded, circulated or parked in the CSR ja, except in the exceptional cases provided for in the Municipal Ordinance.
Which vehicles can continue to join CSR?
They may be included, even if they do not have an environmental badge or have a label B:
- Vehiclesof persons registeredin the CSR prior to 15 June 2024.
- Vehiclestransporting people with reduced mobility
- Historic vehicles
- Mopedsunder50 cc and a maximum speed of 45 km/h .
- Emergencyvehicles and essential services
In addition, the following shall havean extension period of to 2030 and may therefore circulate freely:
- Vehicles A and B of people with garage space in CSR.
- Residents with DAR badge bornin 1955 or earlier
- Additional investmentvehicles
- Vehicles linked to extraordinaryactivities or events
- Vehicles transporting people to medical consultations or treatments
In addition, the City Council has recalled that since 16 June c vehicles with the B label cannot circulate in the centre except for parking in alternate parking spaces marked with the CSR logo or for any exception, while vehicles withthe 0, Eco and C badge have no restrictions.
The Bilbao Low Emission Zone entered into force on 15 June 2024and is gradually being implemented, so that, with the extension of deadlines until 2030, the City Council aims to facilitate the adaptation of citizens.
