A total of 4,630 boys and girls will participate in the San Sebastian Children's Tamborrada, divided into 45 companies
The children of the Intxaurrondo Children's Tamborrada will be in charge of incarnating the charges of the children's drum this year. In addition, the Ikastola Herri Ametsa of Bidebieta will have its 50th tamborrada.

A total of 4,630 boys and girls willparticipate in 45 companies consisting of 38 schools and institutions on 20 January in the Tamborrada Infantil de San Sebastián.
The mayor of the capital of Guipuzcoana, Jon Insausti, and the Councilwoman of Culture of San Sebastián, Ana Lopez, have welcomed this Tuesday in the Plenary Hall the children who will be in chargeof the Tamborrada Infantil , this year they will be from Intxaurrondo Haur Ikastola.
Argoitz Echezortu San Jose will be the Major Drum and he will lead the 45 companies that will perform the marches of Raimundo Sarriegui at the parade in the city centre. He will appear on the balcony of the City Hall at 12:00 with the Mayor (Valentina Errante Santos) and the Notary (Odei Albarca Lopetegi). Along with them, General Jon Saizar Viles and Deputy Ane Martin Lopez will come to town hall.
Then the Mayor, the Notary, the General and his Assistant will parade along with the other children representing the civil society of the early nineteenth century in a large carriage in front of the causeway where the Horse Guards will be located.
Thus, Ayleen Kristen Siavichay will play Beautiful Easo; Elena Pascual and Nahia Abal will play Ladies; Aimar Benavente will play Citizen; Aitor Ponce will play Fisherman; Paola Errante will play Hilandera; Ekaitz Fernandez will play Shepherd; Ibai Redondo will play Merchant; Ariane Valderrama will play Gardener; Ander Bermejo will play Mandazaina; and Leo Pina, Mateo Lasak and Oihan will play Avente.
The presentation of the tamborrada will take place on Friday at noon at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre, with the participation of representatives of all companies, and the Mayor of San Sebastián, Jon Insausti, will impose medals on the characters and hand over the Command Stick to the Major Drum of the Children's Drum.
Also, Ana Lopez remembers that the Ikastola Herri Ametsa of Bidebietawill celebrate 50 drums this year.
Finally, Lopez has recalled that if due to bad weather it is decided to suspend the parade of the Tamborrada Infantil, it will be communicated to those responsible for each tamborrada around 10:30 a.m. on the 20th of the same month. If so, the Tamborrada Infantil would be held on Sunday 25 January, if the weather allowed, otherwise it would be definitively suspended.
