The new number range of commercialcalls will have nine digits and will begin with the prefix 400, according to one of the two resolutions issued this Wednesday by the State Secretariat for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure.

When the new count is fully operational, operators will block calls that they consider commercial and customer service and are not using the established numbering.
The text submitted for public hearing sets aperiod of four months from the entry into force of the resolutions.
If, after entry into force, a user receives a commercial or customer service call from an unauthorized number, he or she may file a complaint with the Telecommunications User Care Office (OAUT) or the National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC).
