The Public Prosecutor's Office maintains a 22-year petition for the Irun teacher tried for offering sexual favours to minors
The defence, for its part, has requested the acquittal of the accused on the grounds that the teacher had only a "friendly" relationship with the alleged victims and had not committed any crime.

The Public Prosecutor's Office has upheld the 22-year prison sentencefor a professor at an Irun high school who has been tried in the Gipuzkoa Court Ggkoa on charges of offering money in exchange for sexual favours to three underage girls in the course of 2023-2024.
On the second day of the case, a number of statements have been made: two of the three victims have testified behind closed doors, two teachers have been taken as witnesses and the accused has also testified, and the final reports of both parties have subsequently been presented and the case has been heard pending judgement.
Suspension in the defendant's statement
They have had to interrupt the defendant's statement and end up behind closed doors because, despite the judge's request to respect the anonymity of the victims, the defendant has repeatedly expressed their names to all persons present in the courtroom.
In that speech, the teacher has acknowledged that she created a fake profile on the Instagram social network through which she interacted with the students. In her words, after reporting that profile to a student, her followers multiplied in a short time. She has explained that many of them were "students or fake accounts of erotic profiles" and were asked for "erotic photos and videos." Finally, she has added that she has been being harassed for 15 years.
On the other hand, the teachers who have testified as defence witnesses have stated that the girls "always walked" around the defendant. One of them has stated that the minors were "girls who were very used to sexual vocabulary" and that they spoke "all the time" of the term "viralized" sugar daddy . They have acknowledged that they were unaware of the defendant's activity on social media and that if they had seen "something strange" they would have reported to the Directorate.
In its final report, Prosecutor Jorge Bermudez considers the facts of which the teacher is charged to be "proven" and therefore maintains his request for 22 years' imprisonment, adding that the defendant's request for "promises" to minors has been "sufficiently substantiated".
The defense, for its part, has called for the acquittal of his representative and has argued that he "failed to be a friend" of students aged 13, 14 and 15, as well as to "rise to his level and be different," but "is not a criminal and has no malice."
Outside the courthouse, several former students of the accused have met again at another centre in Gipuzkoa, together with members of the feminist assembly in Oiartzun.
