The victim, a 44-year-old woman, died on Wednesday at her home in Basauri, where health personnel initially concluded that she had died of discomfort, but later the autopsy foundsignsof violence in the woman's body and determined that it could be murder.
Thus, the Ertzaintza opened an investigation as a possible case of gender-based violence. The couple and the suspect in the murder were arrested yesterday afternoon in Bilbao.
