The man arrested in Berriz for attempting to kill his partner is still in police custody this Wednesday awaiting a statement before the judge, according to the Basque Government's Department of Security.
The alleged perpetrator, a 48-year-old man, was arrested on Monday by the police on charges of attempting to stab his wife, a 38-year-old woman. The attack took place on Monday morning in the family home itself, and was stopped by the couple's four children and a neighbour.

Demonstration to condemn the attack
