UEMA has presented 'Wake up', a dynamic response to the 'decline' of the airspaces
18 agents from different fields have joined the initiative and made "concrete commitments to keep the Basque areas alive", including Bankoa Abanca, Fagor, Kutxabank or the Basque Football Federation.
In response to the downward trend in the Basque language in the Arnasgunes, the Commonwealth of Basque Municipalities , UEMA , has presented the 'Awakening' dynamic , which aims to 'empower all kinds of actors and promote the commitments of the agents to ensure the survival of the Basque areas', for which they have achieved specific commitments from 18 actors .
The dynamic was presented this afternoon at a press conference at the Arraunetxe in Orio, where, together with the President of UEMA, Martin Aramendi , and the Mayor of Orio, Anuska Esnal , representatives of the associations and organizations that will participate in the dynamic were present at the press conference.
Aramendi has explained the details of the initiative. He has explained that "UEMA is very concerned about the decline of sociolinguistic data in the airspace and is responsible for the loss that the latest research foresees for the coming years. It is clear to UEMA that the Arnasgunes and the Euskaldunes are key to the Euskera and that the protection and strengthening of these areas is essential so that they can affect the entire territory of the Euskera and be the engine of the revitalization. "
Specific commitments

Concerned about the evolution of data and research in the Arnasgunes and Basque municipalities, she has said that they want "that to stop and change the trend." So we have made a specific commitment (...) We want to turn the idea that numbers are easier in Spanish, that contracts are easier to understand in Spanish.
In the same vein, the other actors have made specific commitments to promote the Basque language in their respective fields of work. From tomorrow, UEMA will begin to extend this dynamic to all peoples.
