A 21-year-old man has been arrested in Vitoria-Gasteiz on charges of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl under the guardianship of the Provincial Council of Álava.
Sources from the Department of Safety and Security have confirmed that the arrest took place on 9 April, four days after the attack, after which the man was brought before the court.
For its part, the Foral institution has explained that the minor under guardianship filed a complaint with the Ertzaintza after telling one of the educators what had happened.
