The alleged perpetrator of the sexual assault on a woman on the Oñati campus has been arrested
This is a 51-year-old man who has been arrested by the Ertzaintza with the cooperation of the Oñati Municipal Police.

The Ertzaintza and the Oñati Municipal Police have arrested a 51-year-old man accusedof attempting to sexually assault last Friday, April 17, on the Oñati campus of Mondragon Unibertsitatea.
The victim, a 53-year-old woman, suffered an attempted assault in the parking lot when the attacker entered her parked vehicle and managed to escape and seek help from a pedestrian, at which point the attacker fled.
The Ertzaintza began investigations at the scene after treating the victim and transferring him to a health centre, which led to the arrest of the alleged perpetrator, assisted by the local police on Wednesday. The detainee, a 51-year-old male, hasbeen chargedwith attempted sexual assault and has been transferred to the Bergara Court.
Mondragon Unibertsitatea students and workers, together with Oñatiarra citizens, held a rally on Monday to condemn the attempted sexual assault.
