Investigators point out that the defendant "voluntarily" confessed twice that he killed Lukas Aguirre

During the trial to clarify the murder of Lukas Aguirre, it was the turn of the Ertzainas who took part in the investigation. Seven officers testified before the judge, two of whom pointed out that the alleged murderer confessed "voluntarily" to the death of the young Hernaniarra, first at the head of the operation and then before the court-appointed lawyer.

This confession is one of the keys to the trial being held at the Gipuzkoa Territorial Court. The defendant denies being the perpetrator of the murder and, according to his lawyer, made his statements "out of obligation "after his arrest. 

The prosecutor requests22 years' imprisonmentfor the stabbing author and as many years for the man who stabbed him, while the Public Prosecutor's Office requests three years' imprisonment for the woman who was with these two men on the day of the incident, believing that she helped them.

In December 2022, on Christmas Day, Aguirre was killed with a knife to the chest and neck in a well-known discotheque in San Sebastian outside.  was 24 years old and bled to death on the spot. 

The Ertzainas who testified at the third session of the trial have explained the details of the investigation and, in particular, the information gathered in the hours following the incident, stating that several witnesses to the murder immediately identified the alleged murderer with their names and surnames, as well as the specific characteristics of the two persons accompanying him. 

Thanks to the information provided, the latter were immediately located and arrested, very close to the scene of the murder, and the mother of the alleged perpetrator was telephoned to go to the police station with her son, which she did. 

The two Ertzainas have reported that the principal accused, although he refused to testify in principle , subsequently "voluntarily" confessed the crime to the Chief of Operations of the Ertzaintza.  In response to this, they requested a court-appointed lawyer to take a statement back before him, confirming his initial words.

Another officer has testified that the second defendant explained to him that the knife used in the murder belonged to him and left it to the alleged murderer, who also stated that the weapon had been thrown into a container. 

Investigators have also reported that at that time the accused was wearing a geolocation bracelet , which has allowed all the movements made on the day of the murder to be recorded.
