The Ertzaintza has alerted to the placement of plasticine or paper markers in locks for theft, which have been found in homes in Bizkaia .
On 22 May, the Ertzaintza arrested in fraganti in Barakaldo a man who was caught placing paper markers in the locks of several houses in a building, not the only case, since days later green plasticine was seized inside the lock of a house, presumably for the same purpose.
According to the Ertzaintza, plasticine has been used several times as a marker in robberies committed in Biscay towns.
Recommendations
Before entering the key, the Ertzaintzarecommends checking or observing the locks for access to the houses. If any element is found inside the lock, the Ertzaintza or the Municipal Police must be notified.
