The driver has lost control of the vehicle on Navarreria Street and there has been a massive hit-and-run in which the injured have been taken to hospital: two were in a very serious condition, while the other two suffered minor injuries.

The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m., when a lorry linking the glass went unchecked downhill, apparently due toa breakdown in the brake system, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and unable to avoid a hit-and-run.
Witnesses to the accident reported that the vehicle hit several people by hitting the wall of a building near the Los Burgos bar.
Officers of the Municipal Police and the Foral Police have closed the street to facilitate the passage of ambulances and emergency services in view of the influx of people to the old town of Pamplona/Iruña on the occasion of the events scheduled throughout the day.

Navarre's president, Maria Chivite, said she was "appalled" by the tragic accident in the Navarre capital.
