A woman and her two underage children drowned this afternoon on the Ezka River in Roncal.
According to the Civil Guard, the incident took place around 4:40 p.m. in a bathing area next to a dam.
The Nasbaskoz Fire Brigade, various Osasunbidea teams and officers of the Foral Police and the Civil Guard have moved to the scene, unable to do anything to save the life of the woman and the two children.
The Civil Guard has taken over the investigationto determine what happened.
The three victims were residents of the Roncal .
Three days of mourning
In view of what has happened, the Roncal City Council has expressed its regret and called for three days of mourning ; the flags will fly at half mast and there will be no official events in the next 72 hours.
In its note, the City Council expresses its solidarity with the families and friends of the deceased and makes municipal resources available to them.
