This license will allow the manufacture of five families of products for the areas of Maxillofacial Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, Traumatology, Otorrinolaringology and Radiothermal Oncology.
The Biobizkaia Health Research Institute will manufacture customized health products through 3D printing to improve patient care in Osakidetza, a milestone that, according to the executive, "reinforces more than a decade of innovation and developments linked to 3D printing applied to clinical practice."
The new license will make it possible to design and manufacture five families of personalized medical devices: anatomical biomodels, sterilizing anatomical biomodels, surgical guides, masks for the application of surface radiation therapy and epithets, all adapted to the specific needs of each patient.
