The greatest impact has been recorded in the province of Tarragona, where 434 performances have been recorded for water access to basements and low floors to cope with flooding on the roads and to remove fallen trees and branches. On the other hand, 30 people have been treated for storm related events, four of whom have had to be taken to hospital.
The capital of Tarragona has been one of the areas that has suffered the most intense floods. Several corners of the city have been flooded and power has also been cut off at some points, leaving thousands of people without supplies.
Roads flooded and Rodalies lines cut
Mobility has also been affected by heavy rains, which have forced rail traffic to be suspended. However, Rodalies managed to widen the track early this morning (albeit by single track) on the R14, R16 and RT1 lines, gradually recovering the link between Tarragona, Reus and Cambrils. Minutes later, part of the R17 and RT2 lines linking Tarragona and Port Aventura have also been partially reopened.
