The 25-year-old girl who was rescued on 23 August by suffocation at the Morea well in Beriain (Navarre) died after being admitted to the Navarra University Hospital for eight days, sources from the Department of Health have reported.
The incident occurred around 5.28 p.m. on August 23. Bathers in the well noticed that some peoplewere struggling in the water and were drowning.
Bathers managed to get the 20-year-old out of the water, and emergency services displaced to the site rescued the woman.
The two young men received cardiopulmonary resuscitation exercises and were taken in medicalized ambulances to the Navarra University Hospital in Pamplona.
The young man's death was confirmed the following day, and the woman remained in critical conditionuntil her death on August 31.
With this death, eight people have already drowned in bathing camps in Navarre.
