The Gipuzkoa High Court has sentenced to 20 years' imprisonment the man who killed his former partner in Pasaia on 30 November 2024, according to EFE sources of the case. Once the parties have reached an agreement, they have all approved the sentence at the preliminary hearing of the trial held this morning, as well as the accused.
After acknowledging the facts, the Public Prosecutor's Office (which initially requested 34 years' imprisonment for this man), the two individual charges (the two daughters of the deceased and one of his roommates) and the lawyer Cristina Ramos (on behalf of the Clara Campoamor Association) have agreed to reduce their requests for punishment.
Thus, the man has been sentenced to 17 years as the perpetrator of a crime of murder, one year for two offences of unconditional threats, one year for a crime of conditional threats and one year for illegal possession of weapons with mitigating confession.
