A couple accused of a fake robbery in Irun
They pretended to be robbed in order to get the box at the bar where one of them worked.
The National Police has charged a couple with a false robbery at the bar where one ofthem worked. While the woman was working at the bar, the man simulated a robbery to collect 1,600 euros.
The events took place on 4 February at the bar 1 in Irun, where the robbers accessed the said establishment and carried out a "robbery with violence". The owner of the establishment filed a complaint and, when the officers inspected the videos, detected suspicious behaviour on the part of the worker. On the basis of other indications, it was concluded that thetheft could have been agreed upon before .
The alleged perpetrators havenumerous police records , initially residing in Irun but subsequently transferred to Burgos. The Irun National Police requested the cooperation of the Burgos Judicial Police to locate the fraudsters u00A0but by then both were already in detention\u00A0 on charges of another robbery.
