Israel has ensured that 40% of the city of Gaza is under its control
The Israeli Army has already confirmed that it controls 40% of the city of Gaza, following more than three weeks of offensive, continued bombings, including civilian homes. Moreover, Israeli military spokesman Effie Defrin has indicated that the operation will intensify in the coming days.
Defrine has specified that two brigades are fighting in the Zeitun neighbourhood and are carrying out further raids in Sheikh Radwan, north of the Gaza City.
According to Gaza health sources, at least 69 Gazatis have been killed by Israeli attacks on Thursday, 39 of them in the city of Gaza, while rescue work continues in the rubble of destroyed homes in search of potential victims buried by the rubble.
In addition, five other people have been killed and more than 50 injured in an attack in the Al Tuffah neighbourhood, including several minors, according to the Palestinian Civil Defence.
