The Israeli army has ordered the evacuation of the entire city of Gaza
Nearly a million people in the city have been told to leave Gaza and go "immediately" to Al Mawas (south).
Israeli Army spokesman in Arabic, Avichay Adraee, has ordered the inhabitants of Gaza City to completely evacuate the city at 08:00 local time (05:00 GMT).
"To all the inhabitants of the city and neighborhoods of Gaza, from the Old Town in the east and from Tah to the west and to the sea," he wrote in his account at X.
According to an infographic accompanying the message, the order affects the entire city, where, according to the UN, about one million people live and take refuge.
"For your safety, immediately flee the Al Rashid road to the Al Mawasi humanitarian zone," he adds, referring to the designated area near Jan Yunis.
It's an area south of the strip and it's already crowded.
Adraee has stressed that the Israeli Army "has decided to eliminate Hamas" and "will operate very strongly in the city of Gaza, as it has done elsewhere in the Strip."
