Robinson has been formally charged with a number of charges, including aggravated murder, including obstruction of justice and the commission of a serious crime by shooting a firearm (causing serious bodily injury), manipulation of witnesses and a crime of violence in the presence of a minor.
Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray announced on Tuesday that he will seek the death penalty for Tyler Robinson for the murder of American ultraconservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Gray explained at a press conference that the suspect faces a number of charges: obstruction of justice \u00A0and the commission of a serious crime by shooting a firearm, causing serious bodily harm, manipulating witnesses and committing a crime of violence in the presence of a minor.
Tyler Robinson, who appeared by videoconference, heard the charge against him this Tuesday with a deaf gesture in a Utah state district court.
At the preliminary hearing, Judge Tony Graf and the Utah Public Prosecutor's Office have agreed that Robinson's trial will begin on September 29.
