The 27 Heads of Government and State of the European Union will meet tomorrow in Cyprus with the Middle East war and the energy crisis caused by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz on the table.

On Friday, the authorities will also discuss the war in the Middle East following the Israeli and United States offensive against Iran on 28 February, which will also be attended by senior representatives from Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and the Gulf.
After 16 years, it will be the first summit in which Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban will not participate. He has decided not to attend the European Council meeting after losing the general election, although he remains the head of government while Peter Magyar takes office.
