Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed in a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump a ceasefire with Ukraine on the occasion of Victory Day against Nazi Germany on 9May , the Kremlin reported on Wednesday.
According to Moscow sources, Trump has praised the ceasefire decreed by Russia and Ukraine on 11 and 12 April, on the occasion of the Orthodox Easter days, and recalled that "the feast commemorates the common victory against Nazism in World War II".
Although both sides accused each other of violating the truce on Easter, analysts have pointed out that no fronts were moved and that there were no massive drone attacks.
