The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported on Tuesday that attacks on Iran have been carried out on the orders of President Donald Trump.\u00According to A0CENTCOM, the operation was launched in response to the downing of the Apache helicopter that occurred the previous day.
According to military command, the United States has attacked air defense systems, ground control stations and surveillance radarnear the Strait of Rmuz, using high-precision ammunition launched from Air Force and Army fighters.
CENTCOM has stated that the operation is a "proportional" response to recent attacks on US forces and merchant shipping, adding that its troops are prepared to respondto any new action they consider an attack by Iran.
The helicopter, allegedly attacked by Iran, crashed off the coast of Oman, and the two soldiers were rescued aliveby American forces.
Trump announced a military response to the downing of the Apache on Tuesday: "The United States must necessarily respond to this attack," he warned on his network, Truth Social.
These events have taken place in the midst of new conflicts, as Iran and Israel have been attacking each other these days, leading Trump on Monday to demand an "immediate" endto the attacks, as well as to the Israeli alliance.
