The search continues relentlessly amid the rubble left by the earthquake in Venezuela. The area of La Guaira is in a state of collapse, with limited access, hundreds of buildings damaged and scarce resources.
According to official figures, for the time being, the disaster has left 920 dead and 3360 injured , although the number will continue to rise as the hour progresses, while the UN estimates the number of missing personsat around 50,000, following an initial assessment in Venezuela itself.

On Saturday, the Spanish Government updated the data on victims, namely 5 dead, 133 missing, and 14 people have already been found.
Among them are three Basques, one dead and two missing. The mourning has reached Ondarroa with the death of Alazne Solabarrieta. The woman died in the earthquake, but not her husband, who is hospitalized, injured. The two missing Basques are Jon Sustacha of Bilbao and Maria del Coro of Donostia.
International response
Meanwhile, the support of the international community is being complete, and several rescue and humanitarian aid teams have arrived in Venezuela, where thousands of volunteers continue to mobilize food, tools and supplies to La Guaira, where the priority is to find the missing and care for those affected.
