Kushner and Witkoff's first visit to Kiev has not taken a step towards peace
The United States, Ukraine and its European partners have agreed to hold more meetings in the coming weeks and to strengthen aid to Ukraine for the winter. Their priorities include more air defence systems, support for the energy sector and additional supplies.
The first visit by White House representatives Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff to Kiev ended on Sunday afternoon without further progress towards peace. In this regard, no concrete rapprochement or agreement between the two sides has been reached to end the Russian offensive against Ukraine.
Following Saturday's meeting between Witkoff and Kushner in Moscow, Voloù Zelenskiwas conveyed today to Vladimir Putin's demands that the meeting in Kiev also serveto coordinate positions with pro-Ukraine allies Germany, France and the United Kingdomand to maintain dialogue to move towards a possible peace agreement.
One of the main obstacles remains Donbass , as Russia claims the entire region. Zelensky has not given details of possible formulas forresolving the conflict. Nor has Kushner wanted to set a deadline for an agreement.
In this context, Ukraine and Russia have halted their attacks for three days, until the end of the visit of the US delegation, which is H, until this Monday.
New meetings

Thus, Zelensky has also warned of Russia's new drone attack strategy: drones are still being used in the daytime and are becoming more difficult to detect, a threat that Ukraine wants to develop new technologies for mass drone downing, while its aim is to end the war as soon as possible, but has considered it essential to continue strengtheningits military capabilities until a peace agreement is reached.
