The heat is back in the Basque Country
On Monday there will be very high temperatures inside, while on Tuesday temperatures will drop and rain will fall at some points.
The start of the week will arrive in the Basque Countrywith summer temperatures of around 35 degrees this Monday at various points in theinterior, with a high risk of fires in Navarre, while on Tuesday the situation will change with more clouds, thermal declines and storms on the northern side.
Accordingto Euskalmet, we will have a hot Mondayin the interior of the Basque Country, especially in Álava, where thermometers will move between 32 and 35 degrees and reach the highest values in the Ebro Valley. On the coast, the northwest wind will bring the highs down to 25 degrees. In Vitoria , 34 degrees are expected, in Bilbao, 28 degrees and in San Sebastian, the skies will generally be clear.
With thesun, the risk of extreme fires will come in the South Bank, and in the north and in the rest of the Ribera there will be high or very high levels of fires.
The Northern Basque Country, for its part, will begin the week with a sunny and very hotatmosphere, the highs will be around 34 degrees and the lows around 19 degrees. The yellow storm alert will be activated, as it can be carried out during the night in isolated areas.
On the other hand,the skies of Tuesday will wake up with abundant cloud cover in the north of the Basque Country, while in the south we will have a cleaner atmosphere in the early hours, increasing instability in the afternoon with rainfall and showers, especially at the end of the day.
Pamplonan is expected to be a small thermal relief with 33 degreeaximas and the possibility of some afternoon showers .
It will be wetter and less hot in the Northern Basque Country, with highs of around 26 degrees Celsius, where storms will predominate in the afternoon, which may leave moderate rainfall at different points of the territory in the context of the active weather alert.
