June record temperatures at 43.6 ° C in Llodio and 42.9 ° C in Baztan

The heat wave that is hitting the whole of Euskal Herria is breaking records, especially in the inland villages. This afternoon temperatures have reached almost 44 degrees in some areas. 

According to data collected at 16:00 at the stations of the meteorological agencies Euskalmet (CAV) and AEMET (Navarra), the highest temperatures recorded in June have been recorded in several localities. 

Thermometershave peaked at 43.6 degrees in Llodio (Álava). 

Records have also been broken in the following countries:

• Baztan (Navarre): 42.9 ° C
• Igorre (Bizkaia): 42.8 ° C
• Elorrio (Bizkaia): 42.6 ° C
• Alegia (Gipuzkoa): 42.3 ° C
• Cáseda (Navarre): 42.3 ° C
• Beasain (Gipuzkoa): 41.8 ° C
