Yellow warning for heavy rains this Sunday

The Basque Government has cancelled the orange alert for persistent high temperatures following the end of the heat wave that affected the Basque Country this week, although it has activated two yellow warnings for the weekend: high temperatures on Saturday and heavy rainfall on Sunday.
This Saturday, until 6 p.m., very high temperatures are expected, with highs that could be around 32 degrees in the inner Cantabrian, 34 degrees in the transition zone and 35 degrees on the Ebro axis.
The situation will be better along the coast, where thermometers will mark a maximum of 25 degrees.
A yellow warning has also been issued for the risk of forest fires in Álava due to high temperatures and southern wind.
Heavy showers
On Sunday afternoon, from 16:00 to 24:00, there will be a yellow warning for the possibility of up to 15 litres per square metre in an hour, especially in Álava.
Moderate to stormy showers are expected locally strong with hail and wind streams of more than 60 km/h.
