Jules Mamon has adorned Zinegoak's poster with the figure of otherness, singularity, and monster
Zinegoak, the LGTBIQ+ International Film and Performing Arts Festival in Bilbao, has presented the image of this year's edition, which, from 22 to 29 June, will proclaim "otherness, singularity and the figure of the monster as metaphors for non-normativity," according to its leaders.
The director of Zinegoak, Alaitz Arenzana, has explained that it is proposed that the festival put at the centre of the debate what has been called "historically" the other, ideas that the Argentine Jules Mamone wanted to collect on this year's poster.
Zinegoak will be held from 22 to 29 June in different spaces in Bilbao, including Azkuna Zentroa, Golem Alhóndiga, Bilborock, Guggenheim Museum of Bilbao, Arriaga Theatre, Pavilion 6, BBK Hall, Muxikebarri (Getxo), La Sinsorga, Bira Kulturgunea and Sarean.
