The director of the Vitoria-Gasteiz Jazz Festival, Iñigo Zárate, has made the first "superpositive" assessment of the 48 festival, which ended last night with the Toquinho concert.
"We are very pleased with this edition, we have had very good tickets every day in the Palacio Europa (for the youngest jazz) and in Mendizorroza," Zárate said in statements broadcast by the festival.
Music projects "have been very interesting. We enjoyed great concerts like the Classic Orchestra, Jose James or Kenny Barron. They all worked perfectly. "
The stage of the Palacio Europa, transformed into a stage instead of the Main Theatre in works, has also given "great joys. Acoustics have worked well and all the new proposals, young and supposedly dangerous, have reached the public beautifully."
In addition, "we have seen that the streets, Vitoria in general, have become deeply involved in the festive atmosphere, so we can only make a very positive assessment of this year's festival," said the director.
