When and how will the composition of the 29 November polling stations be announced: dates, deadlines and how to avoid them?

The machinery is in operation with a view to the general elections on 29 November , following the publication in the Official Gazette of the State (BOE) of the day following the announcement of the date by Pedro Sánchez. In this context, the Organic Law on the General Electoral Regime (LOREG) sets out all the deadlines, including the establishmentof polling stations, which are the responsibility of the municipalities under the supervision of the Area Electoral Boards.

Who shall constitute the polling stations?

The polling stations are composed of one President and two members , but there are alsotwo alternates for each position  , so the drawing of lots appoints nine persons per table.

Members shall be elected by lot from among all persons registered at the Bureau and shall be elected from among voters who are able to write and read and are under 70 years of age, who may resign from the age of 65 within seven days.

In addition, a Bachelor's or Second Degree or, failing that, a School Graduate or equivalent shall be required to chair the Bureau.

How will the members be appointed?

They are appointed by public drawing of lots drawn by the City Council, under the supervision of the Area Electoral Boards, and the municipalities designate the Presidents, Members and Alternates of the Polling Stations, in order to guarantee the right to vote.

When will it be?

The sweepstakes will take place between October 31 and November 4 , 2026.

When and how will it be reported?

This notification must be made within three days of the drawing of lots , so people who are going to be members of the tables will receive notification in the first days of November .

Certified mail is communicated by formal notification \u00A0together with a brief manual detailing the functions assigned to each member of the bureau.

How much will it charge?

Persons selected to participate in a table shall receive a daily subsistence allowance of EUR 75 and shall be entitled to paid leave on that day, if they are entitled to work, and to a reduction of five hours the following day.

Is it possible to refuse?

Allegations may be submitted to the Area Electoral Board within seven days of receipt of the notification.

However, the battalion resolves within five days, and the submission of the application does not automatically exclude it, so the reason must always be well justified, explaining the cause and attaching all the relevant documentation.

Failure to present or perform duties mayresult in fines, penalties and up to one year's imprisonment .
