The pact between the People's Party and Vox for the Senate unrest has created an A0 among the Guipuzcoan people because they were not informed that they would not submit lists in that territory.
Javier De Andrés, president of the Basque PP,has confirmed that the Guipuzcoano PP knew nothing about this pact. In statements in Bilbao, De Andrés said that the negotiation was "confidential", so the structures of the affected territories were not aware of it.
"We have an intention: to bring out an alternative representation to sanchismin Gipuzkoa, where the six deputies who are in Congress right now support Sanchez, "he explained, stressing that the main objective of the Basque PP will be" to get a representativeinGipuzkoa for Congress ", with a list led by Jon Echeverria.
For his part, Alberto Núñez Feijóo has also played down this issue. "In Gipuzkoa we have not had a senator in 26 years and we have no chance of having him," he said.
According to the agreement, the PP will not present itself to the Senate in Gipuzkoa, Girona and Tarragona, while Santiago Abascal's party will not present its lists in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Cádiz, Valencia, Castellón and the Balearic Islands.
