PNV EBB SecretaryMaitane Ipiñazar has stated that "it seems logical" that the President of the Spanish Government and Secretary-General of the PSOE, Pedro Sánchez, should make changes to the leadership of the party, but has warned that this is not enough.
Interviewed on Radio Euskadi, the jeltzale leader referred to the appointment of Rebeca Torró as the new PSOE Secretary of Organization, who will also have three deputies: Anabel Mateos, Francisco Salazar and Borja Cabezón.
"To be honest, I don't know them, but I think they'll have a lot of work to do," he added.
As a result of the internal crisis caused by the last two PSOE Secretaries of Organization, José Luis Ábalos and Santos Cerdán, according to Ipiñazar, "it seems logical" that Sánchez should make changes to the party.
In any event, it has made it clear that this measure is insufficient and that explanations are still lacking.
In this context, Ipiñazar hopes that Sanchez will give "more details" at his hearing in the Congress of Deputies on 9 July. "We will make decisions within that framework," he added.
