Garraio eta Mugikortasun Iraunkorreko Ministerioak, Adif Alta Velocidad enpresaren bidez, Burgos-Gasteiz abiadura handiko linearen lehen zatiaren plataforma eraikitzeko kontratua esleitu du, Pancorbo eta Ameyugo artean, 391 milioi euroko inbertsioarekin.
Proiektua trenbide bikoitzeko eta zabalera estandarreko linea berri baten garapenean kokatzen da, Miranda Ebron trenbide bakarreko baipas bat izango duena, herrian trenak gelditzeko eta udalerriaren kanpoaldetik zirkulatzeko aukera emango duena.

Bestalde, Eusko Jaurlaritzako Mugikortasun Iraunkorreko Sailak, Euskal Trenbide Sarea erakunde publikoaren bitartez, Arkauteko lotunea eraikitzeko proiektuaren idazketa esleitu du, Gasteizko trenbidearen integrazioan. Lanek 24 hilabeteko epea dute gauzatzeko, eta 2.400.000 euroko aurrekontua.
