The PP has asked Vox not to be a "wall," and the PSOE has avoided "self-criticism."
Feijóo has spoken more clearly than in other election dates, the day after the Aragon elections, urging the extreme right not to repeat the "mistakes" of 2023, while Abascal's party has put conditions on the table without a mouthful: it wants counsellors and its aim is to radically change policies.
The PPcelebrates the results as if it had achieved its goals in the elections in Aragon, where the popular candidate, Jorge Azcón, has won by losing two seats, with 26, so the strategy of advancing the votes has once again failed the party led by Alberto Núñez Feijóo.
In his speech, after applauding what Azcone achieved, he described the conclusion as "mathematical, objective and real": the PP has won the election and Sanchez has lost.
In Genoa they are confident that they will manage to "erode" the PSOE community by community, a strategy that will give them the key to Moncloa by 2027.
Feijóo has been clearer than in other election dates and has asked the extreme right not to repeat the "mistakes" of 2023, when Vox had reached agreements in several places and then decided to leave the governments. This time he has asked him "responsibly" to play and not to be a "wall."
PSOE, no self-criticism.
The PSOE, for its part, repeated its worst result yesterday with 18 seats. The candidate, Pilar Alegría, said that the results were "not good" but did not make any self-criticism at today's meeting.
After the meetings led by Sanchez, PSOE sources have explained that socialists are more important than ever to deal with "PP-Vox governments" that will lead to "blockade" and "paralysis."
Looking ahead, they want to focus on "mobilization" to revive the "illusion" among progressive citizens.
Vox, ready to negotiate.
Meanwhile, knowing that has the key in hand, the extreme right has begun to put its conditions on the table. It wants the counsellors to "budget and structure." "We want them to govern, of course we do," said Vox's spokesman, Jose Angonio Fuster, during his appearance after meeting the party leadership.
He said their goal is to "radically change policies," for which they will demand positions of responsibility. "If it's a vice-presidency, better," he added. "It's the same thing we demand everywhere."
Fuster has also said that they are ready to start negotiations "immediately" to form a new government. "It's up to Azcon," he said.
Chunta Aragonesista, a resounding no to abstention
Chunta Aragonesista(CHA) has attracted the votes of the left, and doubled the representation (from 3 to 6). She has made her position clear from the outset. Isabel Lasobras, Secretary General of CHA, has advanced that the possible abstention to allow Azcon's presidency does not fit in with their options.
"The policies of the People's Party are in the antipodes of our party," he explained.
