Miguel Moreno Purroy, a tax adviser at the Franky bar in Pamplona, acknowledged on Tuesday that he sent Acciona bills that "did not respond to a real benefit" because former Minister Koldo Garcia had asked him to do so.
Moreno Purroy appeared in the Navarre Parliament on Tuesday before the Committee of Inquiry into the tendering of public works, in which he stated that he had been cooperating with Koldo García between 2016 and 2018 and admitted to having been "wrong" but denied being part of a "corrupt plot."
"Acciona's business card was given to me by Koldo García, who told me that he had a need, that he was in a bad economic moment, and that he had no problem with Acciona paying some bill," he said, adding that f "the total amount of the minutes does not reach 8,000 euros."
"As far as I'm concerned, the report is very well documented," he said.
