Sara Aagesen, Minister for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge and Third Vice-President of the Spanish Government, said the Executive will present "this week" a package of measures to mitigate the rise in energy prices.
"Throughout this week we will have this comprehensive response plan with structural and short-term measures. It is important to stress that this is a comprehensive response plan. These are not mere patches, but measures taken from a forward-looking perspective," Aegesen explained today in Brussels before entering the meeting of Energy Ministers of the EU countries.
He added that the Spanish Government is working 'with the social partners and the proposals of the parliamentary groups'. However, it has not specified when the US and Isralee will present an initiative to mitigate the impact on energy prices of the situation in the Middle East resulting from the attack on Iran.
