The Basque Government

The Health Counsellor encourages citizens to exercise, monitor food and reduce alcohol and cannabis use on the occasion of International Health Day.

Organized by the Basque Government, Donostia-San Sebastián, Bilbao and Vitoria-Gasteiz will celebrate the Day without Mobile Family, which aims to promote a more conscious use of technology in families. It has been presented by the Counsellor for Welfare, Youth and Demographic Challenge, Nerea Melgosa, as a "small gesture of caring for emotional well-being and restoring the value of shared time."

This time the paintings have appeared on the football field in Amurrio, pointing to a certain agent, who has been condemned by the Department of Safety and Security and has denounced that these acts directly attack the values of coexistence and democracy.

The Basque Government estimates that there will be 540,000 journeys  in the next few days on the roads of the Basque Autonomous Community. 

The measure will be maintained in Special Risk and Surveillance Areas: 12 municipalities in Navarre will continue to be confined by poultry farms and six in the ACV.

The mayor of the municipality insists that it is the "people of Gernika" themselves who want the temporary transfer of the work of Picasso. The Government recently made the request, but the Reina Sofia Museum has rejected the request for conservation reasons.

With regard to Aena's handover to the Government's agreement with the Spanish Government, the Government spokesman has said that he understands "the position of the other side", since although 51% of Aena belongs to the State, in that other 49% there are private funds seeking benefits. He has stressed that the Government would like to devote investments for Basque airports to improving infrastructure and "getting more flights and connections" and not to cafes and shops that would bring greater benefits to these private funds.

"We will do what belongs to an organization: we will hold an evaluation meeting with those responsible for the Korrika, as we usually do at any event in which the government is part," explained First Vice-President Ibone Bengoetxea. 

In addition, the Government has designed a document called 'Priority Areas of Action' for the "realistic and rational" deployment of wind and photovoltaic farms, with a total of 11 'large' solar and wind power plants planned by 2030.

In particular, the Court has overturned two decisions of the IVAP for the positions of Municipal Secretary and Comptroller. The Basque Government is considering a ruling to decide whether to lodge an appeal in cassation.

The public company insists that the new bilateral body will be "merely advisory" and will not change its powers. It also warns that legislation may be compromised if the limits of the current regulations are exceeded.

Minister Ángel Víctor Torres has described the meeting of the bilateral commission as "productive" and has highlighted the "great work" that has been done previously. He has also advanced that both administrations have opened up lines of negotiation to reach agreements in areas such as industry and energy, health or immigration in the future. e believes that a model of cooperation based on "agreement, institutional freedom and efficiency of governance" is being established.

The lehendakari, Imanol Pradales, has stressed that the context requires a greater pace of cooperation after reaching an agreement with the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, on transfers.

Ibone  Bengoetxea , First Vice-President and Counsellor for Culture and Linguistic Policy of the Basque Government, has requested technical analysis of the possibilities oftransferring the Guernica painting to the Basque Country, in an interview with the "Egun on Euskadi" programme.

Transfers and restructuring of the debt of Tubos Reunidos will be other issues to be addressed. España and the Basque Government will hold the fourth meeting of the bilateral commission today, Friday, in Moncloa.

This service will be launched from May onwards.  Osakidetza's director has stated that the goal is to provide respectful and closer care to transgender people. 

On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the bombing, after the Basque Government has requested the provisional transfer of the painting to the Basque Country, Reina Sofia will publish in the next few hours a new technical report which, as EITB has been able to confirm, will reject its transfer to the Basque Country.

The works council held a meeting this morning with representatives of the Labour Inspectorate of the Basque Government in Vitoria-Gasteiz, and during the meeting dozens of workers protested on the doorstep. 

Although the ability of families to cover their daily expenses has improved, the difficulty of going on holiday and having a car under the age of 10 has increased.
