A man was seriously injured this Thursday in a fire in an abandoned pavilion in Lasarte-Oria, according to the Basque Government's Department of Security.

The firefighters continue to work on the hot spots inside the premises, but the evolution of the fire has made it possible to reduce the fenced area and open part of the pedestrian access, the Pamplona Municipal Police has indicated that the return of the neighbours will depend on the technical assessment of each portal.

The disaster began on Wednesday afternoon and has destroyed seven of the eight 31-storey blocks that make up the Wang Fuk Court area of Tai Po district.
