Christmas

There are two months and three days left for Christmas, but the Basque capitals have already begun to set the streets with Christmas ornaments. In Vitoria, the Florida Bethlehem is being installed, and in the other capitals, the lights and the Christmas trees.

The group of volunteers that until now organized the event with the help of the New Town Merchant Association has decided to "put an end to this stage" because it considers it impossible to continue the tradition "under the current conditions".

This year they are 100 years old, and they have prepared a very special product to celebrate their anniversary: a fresh turron of lime, lemon and white chocolate. The nougat is one of the most purchased products in the country, and they start preparing it four months earlier.
