The leader of Hezbollah has condemned the negotiations between Lebanon and Israel on the grounds that Israel "has not complied with a single clause" of the ceasefire agreed in November 2024.

After the peace talks between the US and Iran in Pakistan  ended without agreement, the US president announced his intention to take control of Hormuz, closing the passage to ships with Iranian ports of destination or departure.

The United States has announced the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz from Monday (14 GMT, 16:00 in the Basque Country and 17:30 in Tehran).

In the end they will not go to Sicily, and they will move only from a port in Barcelona, until the situation has improved.

After more than 20 hours of dialogue, the conversation has ended with a final offer and deep disagreements over the nuclear programme and regional security.

According to Iranian media, the Iranian representatives will not sit at the negotiating table until they have fulfilled the commitments contained in the ceasefire agreement and ended in the Israeli attack. Peace negotiations between the US and Iran are scheduled to begin on Saturday in the city of Islamabad, with Pakistan as mediator.

In 2024, Israel killed the former leader of Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah in the bombing of Beirut.

The price of oil has risen by about 2% in first-hour auctions. Asian stock exchanges have opened with losses, and European and US stock exchanges are also expected to fall.

The strait has been open for several hours. The platforms monitoring maritime traffic have confirmed that they have noticed the first movements. However, following the Israeli attack on Lebanon, the Iranian authorities have again suspended the navigation of the oil tankers, according to the Fars agency, linked to the Revolutionary Guard.

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has made it clear that although he accepts the agreement between the United States and Iran, Lebanon does not enter into the treaty.

The ceasefire has been announced an hour and a half before the end of Trump's ultimatum. The parties will cease their attacks and Iran is committed to opening the Strait of Hormuz. 

A few hours before the deadline given by US President Donald Trump to open the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian citizens have taken to the streets and formed human chains in power stations and bridges, claiming that attacking public infrastructure with Iranian flags, posters calling for resistance, or photos of leaders is a war crime.

A few hours before the ultimatum to Iran ends, the US president has announced that today will be "one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the world." 

"The purpose of these talks is to examine the procedure for ships to pass safely through the Strait of Hormuz ," said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Bagaei on Monday.

The deadline has been extended until 20:00 in the east of the United States. It will be Wednesday morning in Tehran. Meanwhile, the number of deaths in Iran continues to increase due to American and Israeli attacks.

The President of the United States has stated that they knew the whereabouts of the pilot and that they have been working on the rescue arrangements until the operation is carried out.

Today, Saturday, the Israeli Army confirmed that it has carried out a number of attacks in southern Lebanon and Beirut against Palestinian Islamic Jihad militias and structures.

"As a result of the shockwave and shrapnel of this attack, one of the buildings adjacent to the power plant has been damaged and, unfortunately, one of the security department personnel has died," said one of the facility's employees.

However, the mediators have declared that the ceasefire negotiations are "stifling." Iran has offered a reward for capturing pilots and Israel is putting its emphasis on Lebanon.
