The unions of Tubos Reunidos will meet for the first time with the insolvency administrator and the management of the company will also participate in the meeting. While waiting for potential investors, workers' representatives expectto receive information on the insolvency process, as well as on the ERE, which is currently on hold.
In the morning there will be a meeting atthe Trapagaran plant, which has 300 employees , and inthe afternoon there will be another meeting at the Amurrio factory, where 900 people work. It will be the first meeting between the insolvency administrator and the unions.
Information on the competition
Workers' representatives have not received prior information on the content of the meetings, but expect to receive details of the creditor competition.
In recent weeks, management has raised the possibility of distributing the company's sale to factories, with the aim of maintaining at least part of the activity, which they believe could be more attractive to investors.
The trade unions suspended the indefinite strike two weeks ago after the ERE, which provided for the dismissal of 240 workers, was halted, but last week they resumed the strike, in which context this first bilateral meeting will take place.
