The Oscar delivery ceremony will be available on Youtube from 2029

The U.S. Academy of Film Arts and Sciences and Youtube have reached an agreement for the streaming video platform to buy rights to the Oscars worldwide.

The agreement will enter into force in 2029, at the 101 Oscar ceremony, and has been linked until 2023. Until 2028, when the 101 Oscar ceremony takes place, the rights will remain in the hands of Disney ABC.

In this way, the most important gala in the American film industry can be followed "live and free" by the nearly 2 billion performers who have access to Youtube worldwide and subscribers to Youtube TV in the United States.

In addition to the award ceremony itself, the agreement with Youtube includes the red carpet, the contents behind the stage, the announcement of nominations, the ceremony of the Oscars of honor, the festival of the Oscars nominees, interviews with members of the Academy and a host of other content.
