Norma Vila's Basque film 'Salitre' will open the 37th Fantastic and Terror Film Festival. Week

The Basque production Salitre , directed by Norma Vila , will begin the37th Fantastic and Terror Film Week.

The film festival will take place from 30 October to 6 November at the Main Theatre, the Victoria Eugenia and other Donostiarra venues, and the artist Samantha Hudson will perform at the Intxaurrondo Cultural Center on 29 October.

Salitre, a film starring Nagore Aranburu and Haizea Carneros , is the first feature film directed by Norma Vila (Bilbao, 1983) , responsible for the short filmsJules D. (2016) and The End of All Things (2019).

In his own words, "The Journeyto the Dark Side of Motherhood\u00A0bidaia  is about the intimate and sensory. From the impatience caused by the inability to accept that letting go is also love, "the film explores pure nest syndrome.

She tells the story of Maite, a woman who gives her soul for her daughter Nerea and her seafood business. In the film, Maite's hitherto meticulous and methodical routine wobbles when Nerea tells her that she intends to go to Barcelona to study art.

 

Concert

On the other hand, the organization has announced in a statement that Samantha Hudson, the poster image of this year's edition, will perform her first concert at the Intxaurrondo Cultural Center on October 29 at 8:00.

Tickets will be on sale on September 16 at 11:30 a.m. at DK's lockers and website for 18 euros (15 euros in advance sale).
