According to the annual report on trade union action presented by the union, 61% of the conflicts have focused on collective bargaining and the defence of public services. Territorially, the largest number of conflicts have taken place in Bizkaia, but in terms of the number of workers, most of the fighting has taken place in Álava.
During the course 2024-2025, the LAB union has initiated a total of 204 labour disputes, 75 of which have used the strike as a tool for mobilization in conflicts, according to the annual report on trade union action presented on Monday by the union.
61% of conflicts have focused oncollective bargaining and the defence of public services, while 31% have been due to cuts in rights caused by employers or the administration, LAB has reported in a statement.
The "biggest" conflicts have taken place in the public sphere, 74% of which have taken place in defence of public services and collective bargaining, and 43% of all conflicts have taken place in feminized sectors.
With regard to the industrial sector, 55% of the conflicts have been caused by redundancies and closures, while 40% have been linked to the negotiation of the labour agreement or the improvement of working conditions.
Inthe private service sector, however, collective bargaining (62 per cent of conflicts) has prevailed.

LAB stresses in the note that throughout this course various initiatives have been developed with other trade unions, together with the Basque minimum wage, such as an inter-professional agreement within the current competence and the acquisition of new competences through a popular legislative initiative.
